It is absolutely amazing how the people want to turn over their lives, knowledge and power to our government who are to serve us, and a medical establishment who do not have all the answers and treatments. Look up AMA and see the self report of how many patients die every year at the hands of those we entrust our health to. Wake up and take responsibility to educate your selves.
It was only about 50 years ago your family doctor told pregnant women to smoke. In the 70's doctors and nurses smoked in the hospitals, patients smoked in their rooms. Going further back George Washington died at the hands of his physician, they bled him to death and they were the experts and "KNEW" what they were doing, Hmmm interesting. There are many more examples. Doctors, nurses and othe healthcare professionals are not Gods, end all be all.
Please get more education about health, what causes diseases, how there are many treatment modalities separate from Pharmaceutically funded treatments that are very effective especially if the patient believes it will work.

PBS had a wonderful presentation with a plethera of testimonies of those who changed their lifesyle and are well. There are many DVD's, Processed People, Healing Cancer,You Can Change Your Life by Louise Hay, at Loma Linda University public health dept. their is a physician who overcame cancer with the Gerson Therapy program as has thousands of others and he now helps others who want options other than Chemo Therapy overcome cancer which is in all of us and comes and goes. Loma Linda is a Blue Zone (some of the longest living humans on earth) they do it with a balance.Do yourself and others a favor and respect others decisons. Your right to make a decison, live your life as you choose with your personal belief may be the next right that will be taken away.
If the parents and the patient do not believe the treatment will work, most likely it will not. Belief in your treatment team and the treatment itself is critical to any success.
